Since 2018 - We play our duets
Émilie Girard-Charest wrote a duet called S'offrir. Brice Catherin wrote Sequences. We play them together.Clitorides et zebroids, 2019, for any two improvisors, mediator and audience. Duration: free. Co-composed by Brice Catherin and Émilie Girard-Charest. In this piece, the audience members are offered to draw and write (on their phone, tablet or laptop) on a shared screen showing a number of performance/improvisation parameters. The mediator selects freely the audience suggestions and shares them with the improvisors. The whole process happens while the improvisers perform, which makes me call it a “live composition by the audience”.
